This is a simple stir fry that is bound to add color and flavor to your palette.
Ingredients :
Purple cabbage – 1/2 of cabbage, shredded
Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
Garlic - 1 tbsp, grated
Roasted cumin-coriander powder - 1/2 tsp.
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp.
salt to taste
Seasoning:
Red chilli : 1, broken
Mustard - 1/2 a teaspoon
Jeera/cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
Urad dal - 1/2 a teaspoon
Channa/gram dal – 1/2 a teaspoon
Curry leaves a few
Method :
In a pan boil cabbage with little water for 5 mins.
Heat wok very hot, add cooking oil. Put it in mustard and jeera seeds.
When they crackle add the urad dal and channa dal and wait till it turns brown.
Then add the red chilies and curry leaves, fry for 1-2 mins
.
Now add chopped onion, cook until golden brown. Then add chopped, cook for 2-3 mins.
Finally, add the cooked cabbage, salt, all spice powder and mix well.
Serve with rice / Roti.
